Poem: “Look Here” by Diana Tenes 2016

I am here
He is there
I look for him
He looks for me
We don't see each other
I look there
He looks there
I walk away
He walks toward me
I walk away
We both stare
Not at each otherdi-elvis
What are we looking for?
Each other?
He looks at me
I look at him
But we don't find each other
I hold out my hand
He kisses it
I laugh
I walk away
He laughs
We both stare
